We have 60 years of experiencing the Lord's faithfulness in caring for me and my wife that I would like to share with you.

Jesus has taught us the purpose of life; It is finding satisfaction and fulfillment in doing the will of God.  Now, there are no perfect Christians in that regard, however, He uses imperfect people to do His perfect work.  The further one goes in letting Christ accomplish the Father's will in and through him or her, the greater will be their confidence in Him.  The greater will be their testimony of the faithfulness of the Lord's care for them

I would like to share the confidence I have as a result of His care, for me over the years.  I had wonderful parents who did the best they knew how for me, though my mother was in a vain religion and my father was an agnostic.  As for me I grew up having a nerve disorder called "St Vitus dance" causing convulsive movements, often culminating in epileptic type seizures.  As a result both young people and some adults thought me to be like a "mad dog" so I was ignored, talked about, or even made fun of.  I had this disorder till I was about 16. This hurt me a great deal, I also had a learning disability that kept me in remedial class in high school, and people thought of me as retarded.  I lived a life like "Dr Jeckel and Mr Hyde" being a "good boy" in the eyes of friends and family, but when alone I was in every kind of sin, and hating every one that showed happiness.  I went about hurting everyone I could, and never got caught.  However God knew me, and by His grace kept me alive when several times I should have been killed.  I have purposely left out the detail's, as I don't believe in glorifying sins.  But by God's grace he brought me through it   In 1950 God brought me to a girl {Joyce} who when I drove to a dark place and pushed a button beehold she was in a bed, sat up and said if you want to see me again come to church tomorrow.  I went, and two weeks later I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord, and He changed my life.  In Sept of that year we were married and over the years we had three wonderful children, Terri, Linda, & Steven.  It is here that I start the time line of confidence in God and His Word.

1. I had been an alcoholic and smoker from my early teens.  He slowly replaced the desire for them with a desire for His life, freeing me from there addiction.  He conquered them not me.  How did He do it?  He caused me to give up trying on my own, and let Him do it.  How?  By giving Him the life He paid for, so He could live my life for me as only He can, and did AMEN.

2. He led me to a few churches where I grew in the Lord, I went to Moody Bible Institute where I found out of the cause of my learning disabilities and how to deal with them.  After graduating, I was ordained and went on the Navaho Reservation.  For 8 years I was teaching and preaching facts I learned about Jesus Christ and His Word.  As my family and I lived with them 10 miles from town, in the woods, with only a few short paved roads, there were many opportunity's for our harm.  But the Lord was always with us, knew what was going on, and kept us safe.  There were many hardships that occurred during this period, as we had little money.  However, it is by the Lord's awareness and grace He kept my family, and me.  He also, gave us the ability to help many others.  He has never let us down.

3. In 1979 He led us to have a street mission and Bible teaching institute on old Rt 66, He also led my son, Steve, to come, work with us and help keep us alive by providing food, hunting rabbits.  God also gave him work in town to provide for the mission.  How I praise God for such a son.

4.  In 1980 I had a heart attack and had to have a quadruple bypass surgery, I should have died, but by the Lord's grace I lived.   It was at this time God made me aware that I knew the Bible facts about Him, but did not know Him.  This was a more dangerous position than the heart surgery.  It took a year to recuperate from complications.  During that time I began a study searching to understand and know God as a person.  The notes from this study became the source of focus for our Bible Institute and Mission.  Over the next few years the Lord gave me a number of Bible students who stayed with us, two of which have gone on into the ministry of Christ and His Word.  All the while the Lord cared for us, providing our needs and those of others who came our way.  Again proving Himself worthy of our trust and love.  Again proving His faithfulness and watch care over those who trust Him.

5. In 1991 God taught me further to trust Him, when He brought a man and three sons to us.  He told me a story of his wife and two daughters leaving him and he was looking for them.  It seemed strange the boys always had eye contact with the father when talking to you.  Also the youngest boy  often had tears in his eyes, as if he wanted to cry.  Another strange thing was the boys should have been in school at this time of year, but the father explained they were home schooled.  However, I noticed they had no books or learning material with them.  Yet they were with the father going on an extended trip to New Mexico looking for another missing daughter.  Becoming suspicious, I called the sheriffs office to have someone check him out.  They could not find anything.  I used the time to teach them that we all have a free will to know right and wrong and are accountable to God to act accordingly.  That afternoon, he and the boys made a profession to receive Christ.  That night, the father gave me a recording he made.  It shocked me! {t portrayed women as being used and abused by any man.  I called the police and they further checked but found nothing in his home state.  The next day we went to church, and again they professed they had received Christ.  I was worried, but did not know what to do.  That night the chief of homicide, from the city he lived in, called and asked me why I was so sure he had killed the girls.  I told him it was a strong gut feeling, that's all.  That was enough for him, so they went to his house and investigated.  They called me back, and said he thought so too.  I asked him why, he said when women leave a home, they take their under clothes with them, but they were all there.   He said I was to be careful and call him back when he leaves.  It was then that the Lord taught me to truly trust HimHe made me aware that to have Him answer my prayers, I must put my feet under them.  I was scared at the thought and could not sleep, but the next morning I told them I would go with them, to help them if they would take me home with them.  The trip took two days and I was really scared, but we got there.  I got away, to the police, they sent a SWAT team that got the boys, he confessed, took them to where they buried the bodies.  He later was convicted on three counts of murder and sentenced to three consecutive life terms without parole.  All through this I was scared, the Lord brought to mind He too was scared when He prayed in the garden  "Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."  Yet He wanted the Fathers will to be done, and so He did it.  Therefore, I also trusted Him to deal with it.  He carried me through it all.  I remembered the poem "Foot Prints In The Sand"  It was worth the lesson.

6. In 1994 I had another quadruple bypass operation and again it was thought I would die but our faithful Lord brougt me through it.  It was during this time I started this (free and downloadable) tract web site dedicated to the LORD and His WORD.  Two of my students have developed into Agape Baptist Church leaders, one a Sunday school teacher, now with the Lord, the other was ordained and now is its pastor.  Again confirming the Lord's faithfulness and leading.

7. In 2003  I had a cerebral hemorrhage, through which only 8% live, 3% of them are permanently paralyzed.  This time it took 6 weeks of therapy in the hospital and a year at the wellness center in Kingman Az. to teach me to get my body and brain to function properly.  I was able to get back to work again.  Once again the Lord pulled me through proving Himself worthy of our trust and love.

8. Think on this, having had the street mission and Bible school on Rt 66 for 29 years in the middle of nowhere, with the closest neighbors being two miles away.  The Lord has protected my wife and me from many evil doers that came our way, while operating the street mission and Bible school on Rt 66.   Proving Himself worthy of our trust and love.

With such a history of God's loving care and grace, I can trust Him and  so can you.  At 83, I also have had 9 stents to keep the blood flowing to my heart, but He still keeps me going.   We have moved to Kingman Az, I still serve Him as His ambassador as I have Bible studies wherever I can.  I talk to kids waiting for school bus by our house and to the people in the stores my wife goes to, giving 20 to 60 tracts per week.  Praise the Lord, He is not through with me yet.  The biggest tract is this web site of about 20 megs with over 24,000 visitors.

Think of all He has done for my family and me,  He will even do more for you, IF you trust Him, and let Him do it.

Keeping in mind 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 (KJV) "18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Yes, indeed, If you have received Christ, God has called you to be an ambassador for Him and His Word.  Are you trusting Him to give you the words to let others know they can trust Him too?  That is all He wants.  Remember, while you and I may let Him down, He will never let us down.  The greatest pleasure, the greatest experience you can have, is to share with others the sureness and faithfulness of the Lord's will and care for you.  That is the great opportunity a privilege given to all who have accepted Christ.  It is the wonderful and absolute climax of life's calling and purpose, that so many miss out on achieving.

Why do so many miss it?
Could it be, many are caught up in the busyness of everyday humdrum activities of life, or to keep up with the worldly society they are in?   Or are other's so self - centered that they really don't care about anyone but themselves?   In either case they miss achieving the will of God for their life, and the blessings that come with it.

Remember the Lord does not look for your abilities, but He wants your availability, to let Him do His will in, and through your life to others.  In that fact lies the greatest privilege and opportunity you have to show your love to Him, and be His ambassador in this life.

How will Christians feel when they have to answer these questions when they see Jesus Christ?  Consider 2 Cor. 5:6 - 11  " Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences."

REMEMBER THE BOTTOM LINE WAS SPOKEN BY JESUS CHRIST TO HIS DISCIPLES IN MATHEW  7:21 -23  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus said in John 14:15 - 17 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Jesus reminds us that the only way to show Him we are His, and to have the Holy Spirit is to trust and obey Him.

Now go do what is right in the eyes of the Lord and may your decisions bring you the promise in Romans 8:28 " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
