What makes a real Christian.

Consider Jesus definition in John 14:15- 31 (KJV) " 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.  16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;   17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.  19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.  21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.  22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?  23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.  24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.  25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.  26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jesus Christ leaves no question as to who belongs to Him, it is only those whose life demonstrates they follow Him by doing  His will.

How can we know we love the Lord Jesus Christ  Consider 1 John 2:3-5  And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

Keeping in mind: The will of God and Jesus Christ is that we make Jesus our Lord by doing His will, remembering He is not looking for our perfection but for us to be a willing vessel for Him to do His perfect work in and through us to others.

Consider 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (KJV) 14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:  15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.  16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.  20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.  21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Yes, that is the will of God for every one in the family of God, and the proof they are indeed Christians in His eyes.

Then He continues to encourage those that are His in John 14:27 - 30 "27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.  28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.  29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. 30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.   31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence." "

BEWARE  of imposters that do not meet the Lord's will, but have a  "Look good religion".  There are many who 'are self-proclaimed Christians, and ecclesial denominations.  Consider Colossians 2:4-10 (KJV) " 4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.  5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.  6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."

The rudiments of he world, they use to entice you are 1. Teaching scripture truth out of context just as Satan did to Eve in the garden.  Satan also used the same tactic on Jesus at the time of His temptation.  In fact it is the only process to get all to sin.  2. They also use modern music that motivates your emotions to follow them, and good sounding doctrines and well doing, that diminishes or eliminates the need to give up your life to the will of the Lord.   That commitment was is made at the time of your Baptism, just as the first Christians did at the time of Pentecost.

The Apostle Paul goes on to remind us all, Christ is in charge so you can trust Him.  9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
