1. Assignment: Look up all references given, and summarize them. Send in your summaries and self test when finished, as well as any questions you may have. Also include any assignments you have completed. They will be evaluated, and returned, with answers to questions, and the next unit of the Family of God Bible Outlines on Biblical Christianity.
We must keep in mind we were made to be in the image and likeness of God, therefore we are to take on His character and live by His standards and not yours or the worlds.
Remember every true Biblical Doctrine is in harmony with the nature and character of God.
See what you can learn of Godís will. [His heart for you]
2. Assignment: For the application of what you have studied in this unit.
After doing this study examine yourself to see if you are equally or unequally yoked in your relationships with others. Make a list of any unequally yoked relationships and explain the opportunities you have to share your faith in making the corrections needed to be in the place of Godís blessing.

Applying the Principle of Yoking
The PRINCIPLE of Yoking is found in God, it is the undividable union of the Godhead.
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." 1 John 5:7
Consider: John 1:1-3,14, 17:21-22
The PRECEPT of Yoking is Abiding / Residence / Habitation
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. John14:20
Consider: John 14:15-25
The RESPONSIBILITY of Yoking is Commitment resulting in Bonding / Faithfulness.
1. Of Israel to Jehovah
"And I will betroth thee unto me for ever;yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord" Hosea 2:19-20
Consider: Hosea 2:15-20
2. Of the Church to Christ
"For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ." 2 Cor. 11:2
Consider: Rev. 19:7-9, 21:2-9
to Fulfill the Responsibility of being Yoked with Christ.
1. Commitment to Christ
" I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Gal.2:20
Consider: Rom. 6:13; Gal. 5:24,
2. Separation to Christ
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing;and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." 2 Cor. 6:14-18
Consider James words to those that are unequally yoked James 1:8, 4:4-5, 8
3. Preserve your fellowship with the family of God.
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Heb. 10:25
Consider: Acts 2:42-47; Gal. 6:1-2; 1 John 1:3, 3:14, 5:1-3
King David said: "I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts." Psalm 119:63 This is the best advice for us today, if we are to stay equally yoked with Christ.
Consider: 1 John 1:-2:5
Jesus invites all to be Yoked to Him.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke iseasy, and my burden is light." Math. 11:28-30
15:1-11; 2 Cor.1:1-10
Let us remember the Prayer of Christ for them that are yoked to Him.
" And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world." John 17:11-24
Consider: John 7:37; 15:10-14;
There is a price to being yoked to Christ:
"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. John 15:18-21
Consider: 1 Thes. 2:15
Think on this: "Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the Lord which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god. The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the Lord of hosts. Malachi 2:10-12
GOD SETS THE LINES......to whom we are to be yoked?
"Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand. And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:" Amos 7:7-8
Consider: Isaiah 28:17
GOD SETS THE LINES BETWEEN HIS PEOPLE AND THE WORLD
"I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;" John 17:14-20
Consider: John 15:18-21; 1 Pet. 2:12, 3:16, 1 John 4:5-6, 5:19-20
CHRIST'S CHURCH TO BE IN THE WORLD BUT NOT YOKED WITH IT
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." 2 Cor. 6:16-18
Consider: Eph. 56:14-18, Rev. 2-3.
TRUTH FROM ERROR
"We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error." 1 John 4:6
Consider: 1 John 4:4-6, 2 John 7-11
RIGHT FROM WRONG
"Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God." Psalm 119:115
Consider: Psa. 119:63; Isa 28:17; Hosea 14:9
GOD SETS THE LINES OF FELLOWSHIP
"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." 1 John 1:5-7
Consider: 2 Thes. 3:6-7,14; 1 Cor. 5:7-13, 2 Cor. 2:6-11; Luke 15:11-32;
GOD SETS THE LINES BETWEEN COUNTRY AND COUNTRY
"And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;" Acts 17:26
Consider: Exod. 23:30-33, Deut.32:28
all these lines have nothing to do with race, it is the difference
between the one true living God, and the god of mankind, not the color of skin.
Keep in mind the ultimate line drawn for our life in this world: is to be living the life of Christ in this world, being where He would be, saying what He would say, doing what He would do.
Remembering, Jesus said is His prayer to the Father: "As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world." John 17:18
That can only be accomplished by two things:
1. Reading the Gospels to see and know Him, not to justify mankind's religions.
2: Letting Him live His life in this world through you.
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20
