April 2013 Questions & Answers

Can the Christian find out the truth about life's decisions by debates or a consensus of opinions, or by the Word of God?  Consider: Isaiah 55:6-9 (KJV) 6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Consider and beware: Colossians 2:6-10 (KJV) 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power
To Consider the facts, to whom are you accountable,  Consider  2 Corinthians 5:9-11 (KJV) 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.  10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Remember God's Word expects us to put our feet under our prayers.  This is no time to be apathetic,  or passive.  It is time to take a stand and be resolute in what we believe, and why we believe it, or the opportunity to speak it, and share it will be gone forever.  So investigate all so-called authorities and let facts, make your decisions not your opinions or emotions or that of others.

Now go do what is right in the eyes of the Lord and may your decisions bring you the promise Romans 8:28 " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
